Our Two-Year Workmanship Warranty, Explained

Every installation we complete carries a two-year written workmanship warranty against defects in how the floor was installed. It starts on the completion date shown on your invoice and covers gapping between planks or boards, lippage at tile joints, hollow-sounding tile, loose or squeaking stair treads, and failed transitions at doorways and thresholds.

What the warranty covers

• Gapping — boards or planks that pull apart at the seams because of how they were fastened or acclimated before install.
• Lippage — tile edges that sit higher than their neighbor, beyond what the tile's own size variation should produce.
• Hollow-sounding tile — thin-set coverage that didn't bond the tile to the substrate across its full back.
• Loose stair treads — treads that shift, squeak, or separate from the stringer.
• Failed transitions — trim or transition strips that lift or separate at doorways.

If any of those show up within two years, call or text (941) 241-3724 or email [email protected] with photos and your invoice number, and we'll schedule a visit to look at it. If it turns out to be an installation defect, the repair labor is at no charge.

What it doesn't cover

The warranty covers our workmanship, not the product itself, and not events that happen after the floor is installed.

Some of the excluded categories above still have a fix. A floor repair visit can handle pet damage or a dent; it just isn't covered under the workmanship warranty itself.

What a repair usually looks like

Most workmanship fixes address the affected area, not the whole room: a handful of boards along one wall where gapping shows up, or the tile run near a shower threshold where lippage is worst. We match new material as closely as we can to what's already down, though dye lots and production runs shift over time, so a perfect match isn't always possible on a floor that's a year or two old.

Email [email protected] or call or text (941) 241-3724 with your invoice number, a description of what you're seeing, and a few photos if you can. We'll tell you whether it looks like an installation issue covered under the warranty or something else — a manufacturer defect, for instance, which we'll help you route to the product's own warranty instead.

The warranty applies to work we performed. If you supplied your own material and we installed it, the workmanship warranty still applies to how we put it down; the product-defect exclusion still routes back to the manufacturer for the material itself.
